Lynda Murphy is a communications and marketing expert and the founder/owner of Murphy Knott Public Relations, Inc. With more than 35 years of experience in public relations and marketing, Lynda’s career has spanned non-profit, corporate and agency settings, working with key managers and leadership to strategize and direct the development of results-oriented programs and initiatives.
Prior to forming Murphy Knott, Lynda held senior positions with Edelman and Golin/Harris Communications, directing numerous McDonald’s PR campaigns throughout the country. She was the Marketing/Communications Director for Life Care Services, Inc., where she and her staff opened senior living communities throughout the country, working with local governments to pave the way for this groundbreaking style of independent living. As the PR Director for The Kidney Foundation of Iowa, Lynda and her team raised that branch's ranking to the top National Kidney Foundation affiliate in the country.
Throughout her career, Lynda has worked with top executives and management teams on a variety of projects and top level assignments ranging from crisis communications to new market/product/service launches to acquisition media relations and CEO media training.
Lynda is a Board Member of Designs For Dignity, a Chicago-based non-profit organization, that transforms existing spaces utilized by marginalized communities into a comfortable and supportive physical environment, through pro bono design services and in-kind donations.
